Top 10 Scientific Advances of 2025 in China

“Top 10 Scientific Advances in China” selection aims to thoroughly implement the important instructions of President Xi Jinping on scientific and technological innovation, especially his remarks in a recent instruction on work related to the NSFC, adhere to the strategic guidance of the “Four Orientations”, showcase significant achievements in China’s basic research, and thereby empower scientists and researchers to yield a greater output of original innovations.

  Since its launch in 2005, this annual event has been held for 20 sessions. The selected advances each year epitomize the landmark achievements in China’s basic research, consistently inspiring researchers and drawing widespread attention from both the scientific community and society at large.
